Sales Manager (Freight)

Job Responsibilities:

● Develop and implement the business strategy to ensure continual growth and increase company's market share in assigned country/territory

● Develop and implement annual business plans.

● Responsible for revenue, volume, and profitability of assigned territory

● Manage and maintain existing customers, and further develop the sales network

● Coordinate internally for successful business interfaces between sales and operations department by establishing guidelines and standards, e.g sales SOP,

● Collate information and analysis of current developments and trends on trade commodities, customers, competition

● Accountable for the sales department’s KPIs.

● Manage, direct, schedule, appraise performance, discipline, and hire, terminate and provide training for all operations personnel

● Coordinate internally with the marketing and product team for the marketing or promotion of company products

● Manage operative use of implemented sales tools and processes for all team members

The Successful Applicant:

● Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or related field

● Minimum 5 years similar experience in the Ocean / Air freight industries

● Knowledgeable in commercial and operational roles in freight management/NVOCC business (Product/Commercial Business Development/Tender Management)

● Strong external and internal networks related to Ocean/Air freight

● Proven experience working in a global, matrix business environment

● Strong commercial mindset and good product knowledge

● Excellent analytical skills & negotiation experience

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office
