Despatcher Job Descriptions
1. Scheduling and dispatching drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs
2. Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from work crews, field inspectors, supervisors or emergency personnel
3. Contact customers in the event of late arrivals of scheduled pick-ups or deliveries
4. Preparing daily work such as schedules
5.Identifying opportunities to adjust and revise work processes in order to increase efficiency.
6. Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
7. Provide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements
7. Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
8. Ad-hoc task assigned by supervisor
